On July 15, the Qinghai-Henan ±800kV UHVDC Transmission Project (hereinafter referred to as the "Qinghai-Henan Project") was put into operation for power transmission. The 1250 series large-cross-section conductors independently developed by Far East have traveled thousands of miles with this project, helping build the "expressway" for west-to-east power transmission and forging the "steel backbone" for the green power corridor.
Far East Strength Empowers the Energy "Grand Corridor"
The Qinghai-Henan Project starts from Hainan Prefecture in Qinghai Province and ends in Zhumadian City in Henan Province, passing through 4 provinces including Qinghai, Gansu, Shaanxi and Henan. With a total length of 1,587 kilometers, a transmission voltage level of ±800kV and a transmission capacity of 8 million kilowatts, it is a key project of the 13th Five-Year Plan and the world's first UHV transmission corridor mainly for new energy transmission.

The project has made comprehensive breakthroughs in key technologies such as large-scale high-proportion new energy transmission and UHVDC power transmission in high-altitude areas, and solved problems including the localization of UHVDC core equipment and the improvement of fire protection capacity of UHV converter stations. It is of great significance for supporting the development of Qinghai's pillar energy industry, promoting the transformation of resource advantages into economic advantages, effectively guaranteeing the rapidly increasing power demand in Henan, and boosting economic and social development. At the same time, it has vigorously promoted the upgrading of UHV technologies and further consolidated China's technological advantages in UHV. Under the trend of new infrastructure construction, the project will generate a huge driving effect on the large-scale development of UHV in China.
Participating in this project is an important achievement for Far East in seizing the development opportunities of the 13th Five-Year Plan power planning and energy internet construction, giving full play to its comprehensive strength and market competitiveness, and also another key project successfully served by Far East.
Far East Technology Connects the Power "Expressway"
The 1250 series large-cross-section conductor products applied in this project are energy-saving and environment-friendly overhead conductors. They adopt a four-layer aluminum strand structure with high self-damping, strong stability and large outer diameter. By improving the strength, conductivity and conductive area of aluminum, the products increase transmission capacity, reduce line loss, decrease the electric field intensity on the conductor surface, avoid corona discharge and reduce interference to radio.

The aluminum cross-section of the product reaches 1,250mm², which can improve the transmission power of lines, reduce the number of line corridors, enhance power grid transmission efficiency and the comprehensive economic benefits of the conductor's full life cycle. It has obvious advantages in high-voltage, high-altitude, large-capacity and long-distance lines. In addition to the Qinghai-Henan Project, such products have also been applied in dozens of projects including the Jiuquan-Hunan ±800kV UHVDC Transmission Line Project, the Shanghai Temple-Shandong UHVDC Transmission Project (Shandong Section), and the Changji-Guquan ±1100kV UHVDC Project.
As a long-term participant in China's national power grid construction, Far East has made outstanding contributions to the development of the power industry.

Over the years, Far East has been granted more than 300 authorized patents and dozens of provincial high-tech product certifications, and has participated in the formulation of national and industrial standards for many times, leading the high-quality development of the industry. After being put into operation, the Qinghai-Henan Project will transmit 40 billion kWh of clean electricity to Henan Province every year, greatly improving the outward transmission capacity of Qinghai's clean energy and effectively easing the power supply tension in Henan.
