The China-Laos Kunming-Vientiane Railway, also known as the "China-Laos International Railway Corridor" and abbreviated as the "China-Laos Railway", is an electrified railway connecting Kunming City, Yunnan Province, China, and Vientiane City, Laos. Constructed in accordance with China's Class I Railway Standards, it is the first cross-border railway invested in and built mainly by China, jointly operated, and directly connected to China's railway network. As a "Friendship Railway" built for the China-ASEAN Free Trade Area, it traverses towering mountains and links China and Laos. This railway embodies the hope and dream of the people of both countries for a better and happier life, further enhancing their friendship and promoting deeper people-to-people bonds between China and Laos.
