The 2017 Daonong Gala held in Beijing on January 6 was attended by representatives of foreign embassies in China, scholars, government officials, celebrities, personages engaged in public welfare programs and 200 business leaders such as Jack Ma, Chairman of China Entrepreneur Club (CEC) and Executive Chairman of Alibaba Group, Ma Weihua, President of CEC, President of the National Fund for Technology Transfer and Commercialization and Former President of China Merchants Bank, Liu Donghua, Founder and Vice President of CEC and Founder and Chief Guideline Officer of Zhisland, and Jiang Xipei, President of CEC, Founder, Chairman of the Board and Party Secretary of the Far East Holding Group Co., Ltd.
This session of Daonong Gala is themed “Craftsmanship Spirit, Just Right”, which refers to the original intention of and altruism shared by entrepreneurs. It is a spiritual calling and also a necessary path leading to successful business. It is good timing when we are all in high spirits and in a favorable environment.

Liu Chuanzhi Delivers a Speech Titled “What Is Happiness”
Tender feelings are always major elements of Daonong galas, and this session is no exception. In Jiang Xipei’s new-year video, he expressed best wishes to his third grandson to be born in 2017. He said, “I am looking forward to the birth of my third grandson, and I hope everything goes well”, and it became one of the most heart touching scenes at the Gala. Afterwards, Liu Chuanzhi delivered a speech titled “What Is Happiness” which was to be recorded in his family annals. Liu expected his son to be an upright man who knows how to handle things properly, and he also hoped that everyone in his family will be happy.
CEC Members Together Sing the Song The Sincere Hero
At the Gala, all CEC members together sang the old classic song The Sincere Hero, expressing their best wishes through the lyrics: “In my heart there was once a dream that I hope my song can relieve your pain; I wonder who is the real hero under the starry night, while it is ordinary people that always touch my heart; remember every touching moment in life and hug your friends warmly; let’s share sincere words and joyful tears with each other…”
The Daonong Gala was first held in 2009. It is a top private crossover gathering for entrepreneurs held by CEC at the end of every year. By hosting the Gala, CEC aims to recall entrepreneurs’ memories, seek out the meaning of their doings, and display the Gala’s feature of “invisible top tier and observable style” annually.
