Deep in the grasslands of Ulanqab, Inner Mongolia, the world‘s largest single AI computing center — Xinghe Base — has officially gone live. Spanning the size of nearly 20 football fields, with a 160 MW power capacity and 80% direct green power supply, every kilowatt-hour of green energy from the grassland here can be transformed into nearly 30 seconds of AI-generated video content.
Behind this “computing-electricity synergy aircraft carrier” is a multi-billion-dollar industrial chain taking shape: upstream driving investment in wind, solar, storage, liquid cooling, and transmission lines; midstream advancing breakthroughs in AI power systems and virtual power plants; downstream nurturing new business models such as large-scale model training and AI code generation.

On the transmission side of this chain, Far East Cable has already supplied over 40 large-scale computing center projects, including China Telecom’s Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Data Center, Alibaba Cloud Data Center in Ulanqab, and Baidu‘s Cloud Computing Center in Yangquan — accumulating participation in more than 200 data center projects. Across multiple AI computing centers in Ulanqab, Far East’s products cover medium-voltage power cables, low-voltage power cables, control cables, and more, spanning the entire link from transmission corridors to equipment room distribution.
In traditional data centers, the value of cables is often underestimated. But when a single AI computing center reaches 160 MW of power capacity and green power ratios become a critical metric, transmission lines, liquid cooling systems, and high-speed interconnects are no longer ancillary — they are prerequisites for stable operations.
Computing centers operate under extreme demands on power stability and cooling efficiency, far exceeding typical industrial scenarios. Far East tackles this challenge from three dimensions simultaneously: smart cable networks provide the power transmission foundation; high-speed copper cables and optical fiber cables build a unified high-speed interconnect network; and liquid cooling solutions address the high-power dissipation challenges of AI chips.
