The inauguration and business promotion event for Far East Smarter Energy’s Kenya Representative Office was recently held in Nairobi, attended by representatives from Chinese chambers of commerce in Kenya, Kenya Power, the Ministry of Communications, the Ministry of Commerce, and other local political and business leaders, partners, and the Far East team.

At the ceremony, Jiang Pengfei, Senior Partner and International Customer Officer of Far East Smarter Energy, delivered the opening speech. He shared Far East‘s development journey — from its founding in 1985 to over 40 years of growth, evolving from traditional cable manufacturing into an integrated smart energy service provider spanning three core sectors: Smart Cable Network / Electric Power, Smart Battery Energy Storage & Computing AI, and Smart Airport, with products exported to over 170 countries and regions, serving more than 30 million users. Today, Far East has become a comprehensive smart energy service provider driven by the synergy of “Electric Power + Computing Power + AI.”

He emphasized that Far East brings to Africa not only high-quality smart cable and energy storage products, but also a complete power solution portfolio covering core grids, offshore and onshore renewables, computing infrastructure, and urban distribution. As East Africa‘s economic engine, Kenya is at a critical window for power infrastructure and digital transformation. Far East is ready to work with local partners to deeply engage in this process, providing lasting momentum for East Africa’s prosperity with reliable products and professional services.

Steve, General Manager of Kenya DLight New Energy, spoke as a local partner representative. Together with officials from Kenya Power and the Ministry of Communications, he highlighted the strong demand for power infrastructure in East Africa and affirmed Far East‘s manufacturing strength in the power and energy storage sectors. He noted that Far East’s arrival comes at exactly the right time and expressed expectations for deeper cooperation and mutual success.

Amid warm applause, the ribbon-cutting ceremony officially commenced. Jiang Pengfei, Li Wenxue, Stephen Maingi (Advisor of Far East Smarter Energy Kenya Representative Office), and other guests jointly cut the ribbon, officially inaugurating the Kenya Representative Office.

This launch represents a key step in Far East‘s globalization strategy. With the dual waves of AI and new energy gaining momentum, Kenya’s urgent need for reliable power infrastructure aligns seamlessly with Far East‘s strategic positioning of “Electric Power + Computing Power + AI.” From product export to industrial export, Far East is writing a new chapter on the promising land of East Africa.
