The 2026 Wire & Cable Industry Conference was recently held in Shanghai, where Far East was named among the "2026 Top 10 Most Competitive Enterprises in China's Cable Industry."

Jiang Xipei, Founder and Chairman of the Board of Far East Holding Group; Chen Jing, Senior Partner of the Group and CEO of Far East Smarter Energy's Industrial Business; Xu Jing, Senior Partner and General Manager of Far East Submarine Cable; and Liu Yu, Senior Partner and Chief Technology & Quality Officer of the Cable Business, were invited to attend.

In his speech, Jiang Xipei stated that over 41 years, Far East has remained true to its original aspiration, deeply cultivating its core cable business and empowering industrial upgrading through technological innovation and quality commitment — working alongside industry peers to drive China's cable industry toward high-end, intelligent, and green transformation.
This year marks the 90th anniversary of China's cable industry and the opening year of the 15th Five-Year Plan. This "Top 10" honor carries even greater weight when viewed against Far East's recent development trajectory.
Advancing into uncharted territory. In UHV, Far East participated in the Yanwei 1,000 kV UHV project, supplying high-conductivity aluminum stranded wire with approximately 2% higher conductivity than conventional products — saving about 2,500 kWh per kilometer annually. This product and its "wind power cable" were both recognized as National Manufacturing Single Champion products. In nuclear power, Far East conquered 1E Class K1 cables for the harsh environment inside the Hualong One containment — becoming the first company in China to simultaneously meet the requirements of both domestic and overseas first-of-a-kind Hualong One projects. In offshore wind, Far East participated in the world's largest 26 MW offshore wind turbine, supplying a 223-meter, 3.5-ton torsion-resistant cable with a maximum tensile strength of 6 tons.
A growing product portfolio. In January, the Smart Cable Network business launched 22 new products in a single release, covering smart grids, marine engineering, new energy, and new materials — nine of which reached internationally leading levels. From UHV conductors to wind power cables, nuclear-grade cables, and high-speed copper cables and liquid cooling solutions for AI computing centers, Far East's products are deeply embedded in critical nodes of energy and digital infrastructure. Wind power cable market share ranks No.1 in China and Top 3 globally.
From China to the world. Domestically, Far East has participated in over 30 UHV lines including Baihetan–Jiangsu and Changji–Guquan, covering 16 provinces; Far East Submarine Cable became the world's first company to obtain IECEE-CB international certification for submarine cables. Internationally, products are exported to over 170 countries and regions, with service networks spanning Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Africa, and Europe.
Ninety years marks China's cable industry journey from catching up to keeping pace. Looking toward the 15th Five-Year Plan, Far East will uphold long-termism, driven by innovation and rooted in quality — continuing its journey in serving global energy and digital infrastructure development.
