On February 4, 2022, the long-awaited Beijing 2022 Olympic Winter Games officially kicked off. As the "Dual-Olympic City", Beijing once again ignited the passion and dreams of the Olympics with its unique charm. This marked the first time the Winter Olympics had been held in China since the inaugural Winter Games in 1924, drawing the world's attention to China and Beijing once more.

During the Beijing Winter Olympics, approximately 2,900 athletes from National Olympic Committees of more than 90 countries and regions gathered in North China, competing for Olympic medals across 7 sports, 15 disciplines and 109 events. The Chinese sports delegation, with a total of 387 members, was the largest in history. The performance of Chinese athletes on home ice and snow was closely followed by the entire nation.
The successful hosting of the Beijing 2022 Olympic Winter Games, presenting a spectacular winter sports event to the world, was the result of years of joint efforts by countless people. In particular, the construction of Olympic venues, infrastructure and technical services relied on the collaboration and support of a large number of outstanding enterprises, which contributed to the success of the Games with excellent quality, innovative concepts, first-class technology and high-quality services. Taking Far East Cable as an example, as a leading enterprise in the cable industry, it deeply participated in multiple projects, providing high-quality customized cables including fire-resistant cables, fire-proof cables, low-smoke zero-halogen cables, and long-life building wires, contributing "Far East Strength" to ensure the orderly progress of the projects.

In terms of main projects, Far East Cable participated in the snow-making system pipeline construction and equipment system engineering of the National Alpine Ski Centre ("Snow Eagle"), the main venue of the Beijing Winter Olympics, as well as the Duolemeidi Tourist Resort, one of the training bases for the Beijing Winter Olympics skiing events. During the construction of the "Snow Eagle" project, Far East Cable overcame difficulties such as low temperatures, high drops and tight schedules, providing customized cable products and services to ensure the smooth completion of snow-making tasks.

The construction was extremely challenging due to the high starting points, long tracks, large drops and steep slopes of the ski runs. In response, Far East Cable negotiated with the construction unit to select the most suitable customized cable products. Meanwhile, to reduce construction difficulties during cable laying, Far East Cable's technical team adopted a new installation method after scientific evaluation: laying in 80-meter sections, ensuring the orderly and safe completion of each phase.
Faced with low-temperature challenges in high-altitude areas of northern China, improper laying methods could cause outer sheath rupture and potential safety hazards. To address this, Far East Cable's technical team collaborated with the construction unit on-site to accurately heat the cables before installation, ensuring the integrity of the sheath before and after laying and eliminating ruptures.
In supporting projects, the Beijing-Zhangjiakou High-Speed Railway was of paramount importance, closely connecting the three competition zones of Beijing, Yanqing and Zhangjiakou, greatly improving transportation capacity and building a "one-hour life circle" with interconnected transportation facilities. As a supplier for the Beijing-Zhangjiakou High-Speed Railway project, Far East Cable provided all cable products for Qinghe Station, and supplied a large number of cables for the "Four Powers" system integration project and the "Three Powers" relocation project of the new high-speed railway.
As the largest station on the Beijing-Zhangjiakou High-Speed Railway, Qinghe Station integrates practicality and artistry with complete facilities, supporting "zero-distance" transfers between high-speed rail, subway and buses, gradually becoming a new comprehensive transportation hub in northern Beijing. During the Beijing Winter Olympics, Qinghe Station played a vital transportation role, and Far East Cable provided stable and reliable power transmission support for the major events.
To further enhance charging service capacity, State Grid Corporation of China continued to expand charging station construction during the Beijing Winter Olympics, building 12 charging stations and 383 charging piles along the Beijing section of the Beijing-Chongli Expressway near Olympic venues and the Games routes. Notably, new energy vehicle supercharging stations were launched at Beijing Winter Olympics venues. Far East Cable provided liquid-cooled high-power charging cables for these projects, ensuring efficient and green operation, meeting the urgent demand for high-power, fast charging for electric vehicle users, and fully practicing the concept of green Olympics.
This liquid-cooled cable conducts electricity while dissipating heat through coolant, boosting power by more than 3 times compared with traditional cables, greatly improving current-carrying capacity, while reducing weight by over 50%, achieving a 100km driving range with 3-5 minutes of charging. Furthermore, the product passed high-temperature refrigerant corrosion tests, featuring excellent explosion resistance, weather resistance, UV resistance and low-temperature resistance, ensuring charging safety. It effectively solves the bottleneck restricting the development of electric vehicles due to slow charging speed, meeting the intensive charging demand during the Winter Olympics.

As a world sports event, the Beijing 2022 Olympic Winter Games is an "international business card" for China to showcase to the world, demonstrating China's strength and wisdom. As a leading enterprise in the cable industry, Far East Cable deeply participated in relevant project construction with timely and superior products and services, contributing to the success of the Beijing Winter Olympics and fully showcasing the strength of "Quality Made in China"!
