Recently, the list of winners for the 3rd China Cable Industry & 2026 Outstanding Youth Award (Management Category) was officially announced. Wang Zhenzhen, Factory Director of the Extra-high Voltage Cable Plant of New Far East Cable Co., Ltd., has been honored with the title of Outstanding Youth in the management category.

Born in 1988, Wang Zhenzhen joined New Far East after graduating with a master’s degree from Harbin University of Science and Technology in 2013. Over the past thirteen years, she has grown step by step from process engineer to technical factory director, from chief R&D engineer to plant process technology officer, and finally to Factory Director of the Extra-high Voltage Cable Plant, rooting every stage of her career firmly on the production line. So far in her career, Wang Zhenzhen has led more than 30 QC projects, participated in the development of over 20 new products (7 of which have reached the internationally advanced level), holds 13 national invention patents, has published 5 academic papers, and has won 4 provincial-level honors including the First Prize of Jiangsu Machinery Industry Science and Technology Progress Award.

During her tenure in process design and management, she has focused on new energy vehicle charging cables, special rubber-sheathed cables, and extra-high voltage power cables. She has accurately solved various technical and practical difficulties in production, continuously optimized manufacturing processes and improved production efficiency, effectively ensuring reliable product quality and stable operation. She took part in the research and development of liquid-cooled high-power charging cables, which obtained the industry’s first dual certification of European TÜV and American UL, keeping the product’s market share among the top in the industry. The wind power series rubber-sheathed flexible cables she helped develop have been recognized as a National Manufacturing Single Champion Product, while submersible pump cables developed under her participation have been sold to China, Europe, the United States, Japan, South Korea, Australia and other countries. She also promoted the application of catenary process technology to support stable mass production of extra-high voltage cables.

Devoted to the production management of extra-high voltage cables, she targeted long-standing quality pain points such as conductor indentation, aluminum sheath deformation and outer sheath flattening. She led 12 special QC improvement projects to systematically break production bottlenecks and steadily consolidate product quality assurance. Meanwhile, she promoted the implementation of the catenary process, optimized production procedures and capacity rhythm, achieving both quality upgrading of extra-high voltage cables and stable high-volume order delivery on schedule.

In Wang Zhenzhen’s management philosophy, high-quality cables are achieved through precise calculation — calculating processes, efficiency and yield rates, with every decision based on solid data. From the process workshop to the director’s office, Wang Zhenzhen has traced a well-documented growth path over thirteen years. The Outstanding Youth honor perfectly marks the latest milestone on her career journey.
